The superior metal gauge thicknesses and door width of the MG1000 slider make it top of the class in strength and lend to its luxurious look and feel. This door does not even require fasteners in vertical track at most sizes due to its robust nature.

The newer model mg1500 retains some of the superior metal gauge thicknesses but uses its strength to show more glass than any other door in the comparison. Only 1.375 “ of metal between glass at interlock see picture.

Not quite as strong as Mr. Glass with substantially lesser metal gauge thicknesses and door width.
Extreme “economy” model, door width on this door is probably inferior to the door you are replacing, metal thickness almost 50% thinner than Mr Glass.
A nice door but still objectively inferior in thicknesses and strength, also usually overpriced in comparison as you will be paying for the notoriety of the PGT brand.
Second to last, this door is also not suggested especially at heights 8 ft or taller where it really feels flimsy.
